Years later, after completing her education, passing the Bar and clerking for a circuit court judge, she was excited to return as an associate at SCB in January of 2016. Her practice focuses on insurance defense and defending personal injury litigation, including medical malpractice, premises liability, and professional liability law. She is admitted to practice law in Maryland and in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.
Kira graduated cum laude in 2014 from the University of Baltimore, School of Law. During law school, Kira worked with the school’s Innocence Project Clinic, investigating claims of wrongful conviction. She also interned with the Honorable Nicholas E. Rattal of the Prince George’s County Circuit Court, and with the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office in the Special Investigations Unit. In addition, Kira attended a comparative law program at the University of Aberdeen, in Aberdeen, Scotland.
After graduation from law school, Kira served as a law clerk to the Honorable Kathleen L. Beckstead of the Wicomico County Circuit Court.
